I coasted along quite happily at first because I loved my colleagues, but most of my friends have moved on now and I've realised just how much time I've wasted here. The thought of being here another week makes me feel a bit desperate, but the applications I send out for similar jobs are getting me nowhere â" who knows, maybe they can tell how I feel about customer service / administration work. I feel like the last five years of my working life have been a waste. There are few opportunities for promotion where I work, and little to no opportunities to undertake formal training that might improve my skills without committing to stay here for another three years or pay for it myself. I can't afford to pay for a course or go back to university, so I'm no more skilled than I was when I walked through the door five years ago, which makes applying for something above my current pay grade quite tricky. What would you like to be doing instead? I know that I probably haven't found the thing I love yet, but in an effort to get myself out of the rut I'm in I've chosen to learn web development. I like the flexibility of the work, being able to work for myself and get out of the office environment, being able to create whatever I dream up â" not to mention the opportunity to earn a decent income. Plus, I can make my own rules. I don't have to adhere to lengthy HR policies and take my lunch at a certain time, or make small talk at the water cooler! I've also started to learn how to do it, using any free or nearly free resources I can find. What's the biggest obstacle in your way? But until it's invented I'm going to have to take the long road and learn gradually like everyone else. It should have an attractive appearance and the information must be easy to understand. This will enable the employer to choose you for a job.

Move Away from Fear In the past two months, Iâve had more than a handful of clients who are dealing with some intense emotional conflicts with others. In fact, Iâve had one or two interpersonal interactions myself that left me reeling. What do these challenges mean when they appear in our lives? From my view, they mean that fear is playing a major, active role in driving behavior â" yours or those you are dealing with. Itâs time to let the fear go and put it to rest. Fear puts us into an intensive reactive mode â" a suffocating, tight corner from which we feel we canât emerge without our dukes up and defenses ready to engage full throttle. But living from this fear place only engenders more fear, more conflict, and more resistance â" in short, misery. The only way out of this perpetual cycle is to stop fearing â" and start having full faith and trustâ" in yourself and in your higher power and highest self, to begin acting from your heart so that you can lose the need to continually tap your arsenal of defensive responses. Letâs do this exercise to help let go of the fear that is most active in your life today: 1) Take three deep, down-to-the-stomach breaths â" relaxing more deeply each time in you inhale and exhale 2) Bring to your mindâs eye the major interpersonal conflict youâre having today. See it and feel it clearly. Who does it involve? What do they want, and what do you want in this situation? What are you truly struggling about? 3) Now envision an ideal resolution to this conflict â" what does it look like, and how would you know youâve achieved a resolution? What would be different in your life, in your relationship, in your emotions? 4) Take three more deep breaths, and ask yourself, âWhat is my deepest fear about having this beautiful resolution come to pass? What am I most afraid of here?â Write out your answers to this question about what you fear, and take some time to explore in your mind, heart and soul what you really want. Do you want to win at all costs, and continue to live from fear, or do you want to follow your heart with this individual, and do what feels really good to you? Let go of your fear â" the space it creates will bring to you new experiences and emotions that are not fear-based, but heart- and soul-based. Youâll see an enormous difference in your life and your relationships when you trust yourself and your higher selfâs intuition about what itâs time to let go of. What fear will you commit to letting go of today?
